The Department of Psychology at GDC Memorial College is dedicated to the scientific study of the human mind and behaviour. Established with a vision to foster psychological well-being and academic excellence, the department provides students with a deep understanding of theoretical frameworks and their practical applications in everyday life.

From exploring the intricacies of social influence to mastering advanced statistical research methods, our curriculum is designed to prepare students for diverse careers in mental health, research, organisational behaviour, and education.

Psychology Department in UG is established in 2011  with the establishment of the college and Post Graduation in Psychology starts from 2025-26 session  in GDC Memorial College. The course scheme is following as: - There are two things Theory paper and practical. Many students are choosing psychology as their optional subject in Under graduation. Total strength of students is 80-90 in  the department. There are many practical i.e. Tests and experiments. Total  more than ten apparatus (Mular lyer Illusion, Human learning, Reaction time, Depth perception, Span of attention, visual acuity,Mirror drawing task etc). and more than 100 (consumable and reusable,paper pencil test) tests are available in the Psychology Lab.

• Statistical Analysis: Proficiency in ANOVA, z-scores, t-test, correlation, regression and reliability coefficients using Jamovi and SPSS software
• Research Design: Conducting large-scale studies (e.g., academic procrastination, internet addiction, self-efficacy, personality, intelligence, etc.).

Psychometrics: Mastering the tools used to measure psychological variables.
