The Department of Botany in GDC Memorial College was established in the year 2013. The department of botany is associated with teaching of botany to all the medical students of B.Sc. science stream with a capacity of 80 students.

Department acquired very good quality and high standard of experimental apparatus in Botany laboratory. All this was accomplished by department with the pioneering efforts of the Principal of GDC Memorial College Dr. Vandana Tyagi.
