National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a premier Tri-Services youth organization of India comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, dedicated to grooming young citizens into disciplined, responsible and patriotic leaders. Functioning under the Ministry of Defence, NCC promotes character building, comradeship, leadership, a secular outlook, adventure spirit and selfless service among students.

About College NCC

At GDC Memorial College BRCM, the NCC unit was established to promote discipline, leadership, national service and holistic personality development among students. Vide letter no. 11NCC/28/Trg/New Raising of NCC 2025-26, the college was allotted one NCC Platoon (SD/SW) under 11 Haryana Battalion NCC with an authorized strength of 53 cadets. The sanction was granted on the basis of letter no. 107/1/TRG/HQ dated 29 September 2025 issued by NCC Group HQ Rohtak, and the NCC unit was formally established in the college on 03 October 2025.

The NCC unit provides structured military-oriented training including drill and parade, map reading, first aid, disaster management, physical fitness and fieldcraft. Cadets actively participate in community service initiatives, national celebrations, social awareness campaigns, plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns and blood donation camps. Regular participation in training camps and NCC programmes helps develop leadership qualities, team spirit, confidence and a deep sense of patriotism, enabling students to grow into responsible citizens and capable leaders. The unit also motivates cadets to pursue careers in the Armed Forces and other services of national importance.

NCC Pledge

We the cadets of the National Cadet Corps, solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. We resolve to be disciplined and responsible citizens of our nation. We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.

Enrollment Highlights

Eligibility: Indian/Nepalese students with good moral character, enrolled in an. educational institution and medically fit

Age Limit:

Junior Division/Wing: 12 – 18½ years

Senior Division/Wing: Up to 26 years


Training Tenure:

Junior Division/Wing: 2 years

Senior Division/Wing: 3 years


Students receive opportunities to attend Annual Training Camps, National Integration Camps, Republic Day Camp, adventure courses, trekking, mountaineering and attachment training with Armed Forces units.

NCC Certificates

‘B’ Certificate: After 2 years of training with required attendance and camp participation
‘C’ Certificate: After 3 years of training (highest NCC certification), essential for defence career benefits
