Internal Green and Energy Audits

GDC Memorial College is committed to promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility through the regular conduct of Internal Green and Energy Audits. These audits are an integral part of the institution’s efforts to create an eco-friendly and energy-efficient campus.

The Green Audit focuses on evaluating the college’s environmental practices, including waste management, water conservation, plantation drives, biodiversity maintenance, and overall campus cleanliness. It helps in identifying areas where eco-friendly measures can be strengthened and encourages the adoption of sustainable practices among students and staff.

The Energy Audit assesses the consumption of electricity and other energy resources across the campus. It examines the efficiency of electrical systems, lighting, and equipment, aiming to reduce energy consumption and minimize the carbon footprint. Recommendations from these audits are used to implement energy-saving measures and promote the use of renewable energy sources where possible.

By regularly conducting these audits, the college ensures responsible use of resources and fosters environmental awareness within the campus community. Students are encouraged to participate in green initiatives and energy conservation activities, nurturing a sense of responsibility toward environmental protection.
