Extracurricular Activities
GDC Memorial College places great emphasis on the holistic development of students by encouraging active participation in a wide range of extracurricular activities. These activities complement academic learning and play a vital role in nurturing creativity, leadership, teamwork, and overall personality development.
The college regularly organizes and promotes cultural events, literary competitions, sports activities, debates, quizzes, and artistic performances. Students are provided with ample opportunities to showcase their talents and explore their interests beyond the classroom.
Various clubs, cells and societies function actively within the campus, engaging students in diverse activities such as music, dance, drama, fine arts, and social outreach programs. Participation in these activities helps students build confidence, enhance communication skills, and develop a sense of responsibility and discipline. Other activities such as Rangoli, Debate, Mehndi, Waste Material Development, Poster Making, Collage, Clay Modelling, etc. are also organized from time to time, and students of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes participate. Rallies, processions, and short plays on various burning current topics such as HIV/AIDS, consumer awareness, saving the earth, water and the environment, and fighting corruption & social evils, etc. are organized on a regular basis in the college.
The institution also encourages students to take part in inter-college and university-level competitions, enabling them to gain exposure and bring recognition to the college. Special events, celebrations, and awareness drives are organized throughout the academic session to keep the campus vibrant and dynamic.
