Patents
Innovation and creativity form a vital part of the academic and research ecosystem of the college. The institution actively promotes research with practical applications, encouraging faculty members and researchers to transform their ideas into intellectual property through patents.
The faculty of the college has made notable contributions in the field of innovation by filing and publishing patents in various domains, including science, technology, and applied research. These patents reflect the originality, technical expertise, and problem-solving approach of the faculty members, aimed at addressing real-world challenges. The institution motivates its faculty to engage in patentable research by providing guidance, infrastructural support, and a conducive environment for innovation. Workshops, seminars, and awareness programmes on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are regularly organized to enhance understanding of patent filing procedures and the importance of protecting innovations.
Several patents filed by the faculty have been published and, in some cases, granted by the concerned authorities, thereby strengthening the institution’s research and innovation profile. These achievements not only bring recognition to the college but also contribute to technological advancement and societal development.
It is delighted to share that the Department of Physics, the Department of Chemistry, and the Department of Geography, GDC Memorial College, Bahal (Bhiwani), had published five patents in number for the session 2024-25.
