The Internal Committee (IC) of GDC Memorial College is constituted in accordance with the guidelines of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 to ensure a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all students, faculty, and staff members.

The primary objective of the IC is to prevent, prohibit, and redress complaints of sexual harassment within the campus. The Committee is committed to upholding the dignity of individuals and promoting a gender-sensitive and inclusive atmosphere.

The IC functions through the following key responsibilities:

Receiving and addressing complaints related to sexual harassment in a fair, confidential, and time-bound manner.
Creating awareness about gender equality, rights, and responsibilities through seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
Ensuring strict adherence to institutional policies and legal provisions concerning workplace conduct.
Providing a supportive mechanism for victims, including counseling and guidance throughout the redressal process.

The Committee comprises experienced faculty members, administrative staff, and an external member to ensure impartiality and transparency in its functioning. All proceedings of the IC are conducted with utmost confidentiality to protect the dignity and privacy of the individuals involved.

GDC Memorial College encourages all members of its community to contribute towards maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment. Any grievance related to harassment can be reported to the IC without fear of retaliation.

Sexual Harassment Committee

The Sexual Harassment Committee of GDC Memorial College is constituted to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, and staff members. The Committee functions in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and upholds a policy of zero tolerance towards any form of sexual harassment.

The Committee is dedicated to promoting awareness about gender sensitivity and ensuring that every individual on campus is treated with dignity and respect. It provides a structured and confidential mechanism for addressing complaints in a fair and impartial manner.

Objectives and Functions:

To prevent incidents of sexual harassment through awareness and sensitization programs.
To receive and address complaints promptly and confidentially.
To conduct fair and unbiased inquiries in accordance with established procedures.
To recommend appropriate action based on the findings of the inquiry.
To provide guidance and support to aggrieved individuals during the redressal process.

The Committee comprises experienced faculty members, staff representatives, and an external member to ensure transparency and impartiality in its functioning.
