Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college plays a pivotal role in promoting and sustaining quality in all academic and administrative activities. Established in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC functions as a proactive mechanism to ensure continuous improvement and excellence in higher education.
The primary objective of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to enhance the overall performance of the institution. It works towards institutionalizing quality assurance strategies and processes by integrating them into the academic and administrative framework of the college. The IQAC regularly plans, monitors, and evaluates various activities to ensure quality enhancement. It facilitates the development and application of quality benchmarks in teaching-learning, research, and extension activities. The cell also promotes the use of innovative teaching methods, ICT-enabled learning, and student-centric approaches to improve academic outcomes. The IQAC plays a significant role in organizing seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes (FDPs), and awareness initiatives on quality-related themes. It encourages faculty participation in research, publications, and professional development, thereby strengthening the academic environment.
In addition, the IQAC collects and analyzes feedback from stakeholders, including students, parents, alumni, and employers, and uses it for continuous improvement. It also ensures the proper documentation and reporting of institutional activities, including the preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC. The cell actively coordinates with various departments and committees to implement quality enhancement measures and best practices. It also promotes a culture of transparency, accountability, and excellence within the institution.
